About the tides at Naked Island

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Cordova, Orca Inlet, Prince William Sd. The range is large, about 9.3 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 14.9 ft. Neap tides follow on Saturday, when the range shrinks to 3.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 15.2 ft on November 25, and the lowest is −3.8 ft on July 5.

Naked Island is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Cordova, Orca Inlet, Prince William Sd: highs come about 18 min and lows about 8 min earlier than there.
