About the tides at Jackson Cove

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Cordova. The range is large, about 9.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time.

Jackson Cove is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Cordova: highs come about 10 min and lows about 2 min earlier than there. The nearest other station is Columbia Glacier, 11 mi away, where high tide comes about 11 min later. For tidal currents, see Slipper Point.
