About the tides at Napoopoo

Napoopoo has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Hilo. Water here rises and falls only about 1.4 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.2 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 1.4 ft, today.
