About the tides at Napoopoo

Napoopoo has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Hilo, Hilo Bay, Kuhio Bay, Hawaii Island. Water here rises and falls only about 1.3 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 2.6 ft on December 24 and bottom out at −0.5 ft on December 23.
