About the tides at Narragansett Pier

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.4 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Newport, Narragansett Bay. The average range is about 3.0 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 4.5 ft on September 2, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 23.
