About the tides at Nas Whidbey Island

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. On a typical day the water moves about 4.6 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Washington stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 7.4 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 7.5 ft, comes on Monday, and the smallest, 1.7 ft, on Tuesday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 8.9 ft on December 23 and bottom out at −3.1 ft on July 4.
