About the tides at Ninilchik

Ninilchik has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. Ninilchik sees a mean range of about 16.5 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 19.2 ft.
