About the tides at North Fork, Anclote River

North Fork, Anclote River has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Clearwater Beach. The mean range is small, about 1.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.7 ft. The next spring tides peak on Monday, with a range of 3.1 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 1.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.7 ft on August 2, and the lowest is −1.1 ft on January 21.

North Fork, Anclote River is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Clearwater Beach: highs come about 62 min and lows about 95 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1975 to 1976 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is River Village, 0.6 mi away, where high tide comes about 11 min later.

Predictions are based on Clearwater Beach.
