About the tides at River Village
River Village has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Clearwater Beach. The mean range is small, about 1.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.4 ft. The next spring tides peak on Monday, with a range of 2.7 ft. Neap tides follow on October 18, when the range shrinks to 1.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.2 ft on August 2, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 21.
River Village is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Clearwater Beach: highs come about 73 min and lows about 113 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1975 to 1976 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is North Fork, Anclote River, 0.6 mi away, where high tide comes about 11 min earlier.
Predictions are based on Clearwater Beach.
