About the tides at Norwood City
Norwood City has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 5.5 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.4 ft, comes on October 10, and the smallest, 5.4 ft, on Sunday.
Norwood City is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Tinicum National Wildlife Refuge, 0.7 mi away, where high tide comes about 20 min later. For tidal currents, see Crab Point, 0.5 mi East of.
