About the tides at Old Tea Kettle Creek (Daymark 173)
Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.8 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Fort Pulaski, Savannah River. The range is large, about 6.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 8.5 ft on October 27, and the lowest is −1.5 ft on January 23.
Old Tea Kettle Creek (Daymark 173) is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Fort Pulaski, Savannah River: highs come about 39 min and lows about 39 min later than there. The nearest other station is Hudson Creek entrance, 2 mi away. For tidal currents, see Old Teakettle Creek (south).
Predictions are based on Fort Pulaski, Savannah River.
