About the tides at Olga Point
This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. With a mean range of about 7.6 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Sitka, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. The nearest other station is Whitestone Narrows, 2 mi away. For tidal currents, see Whitestone Narrows, S of Whitestone Point.
Predictions are based on Sitka.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
