About the tides at Palm Beach, Highway 704 bridge
Palm Beach, Highway 704 bridge has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Government Cut, Miami Harbor Entrance. The average range is about 2.6 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.9 ft. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 3.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 1.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.7 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 23.
