About the tides at West Palm Beach Canal

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.2 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut. The average range is about 2.5 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is larger than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 2.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 3.6 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 23.
