About the tides at Pelican Islands

Tides at Pelican Island, Timbalier Bay are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. The pattern follows the reference station at Grand Isle, East Point. The mean range is small, about 1.3 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak on October 30, with a range of 2.3 ft.
