About the tides at Penrose Avenue Bridge
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Penrose Avenue Bridge, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The range is large, about 5.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 6.4 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 5.5 ft.
Penrose Avenue Bridge is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Tinicum National Wildlife Refuge, 8543024, 3 mi away. For tidal currents, see Girard Point.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
