About the tides at Pineland

Pineland has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. Water here rises and falls only about 1.3 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.3 ft, comes tomorrow, and the smallest, 1.3 ft, on October 8.

Pineland is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Bokeelia, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 6 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Captiva Pass.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
