About the tides at Port Hobron

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.8 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at KODIAK, Womens Bay. With a mean range of about 6.2 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 10.2 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 6.5 ft, tomorrow.
