About the tides at Ugak Bay (Saltery Cove)
Ugak Bay (Saltery Cove) has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at KODIAK, Womens Bay. The range is large, about 6.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 10.3 ft. Neap tides follow on October 16, when the range shrinks to 4.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 11.1 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −2.6 ft on July 5.
