About the tides at Red Bluff Bay

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 1.4 ft. The tide range here is very large, about 10.4 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 12.8 ft. The next spring tides peak tomorrow, with a range of 16.0 ft. Neap tides follow on October 17, when the range shrinks to 4.8 ft.
