About the tides at Saginaw Bay

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Kuiu Island, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. Saginaw Bay sees a mean range of about 11.4 ft. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 13.7 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 16.9 ft, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 8.3 ft, on Friday.
