Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.6 ft. On a typical day the water moves about 4.7 ft between high and low. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 5.2 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 6.0 ft, comes on Saturday, and the smallest, 3.1 ft, on October 18. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 6.4 ft on August 2 and bottom out at −1.3 ft on January 23.
