About the tides at Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa usually gets one high and one low tide a day, known as a diurnal tide. The mean range is small, about 0.6 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 29, with a range of 0.9 ft. Neap tides follow on Thursday, when the range shrinks to 0.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.1 ft on October 29, and the lowest is −0.5 ft on January 20.

This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 1977 to 2021 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Driftwood Point, 6 mi away.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
