About the tides at Saybrook Jetty

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 0.7 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at New London, Thames River. The average range is about 3.2 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Connecticut stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 5.2 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 2.2 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 5.0 ft on July 3, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 23.
