About the tides at Shaktoolik

Shaktoolik usually gets one high and one low tide a day, known as a diurnal tide. On a typical day the water moves about 2.4 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.8 ft.
