About the tides at Southeast Pass

Most days here have a single high and a single low. Around neap tides the pattern can blur into small double tides. The pattern follows the reference station at South Pass. The mean range is small, about 1.2 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak on Wednesday, with a range of 1.6 ft. Neap tides follow on October 23, when the range shrinks to 0.3 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 2.1 ft on October 29, and the lowest is −1.1 ft on January 20.
