About the tides at Lonesome Bayou (Thomasin)

Most days here have a single high and a single low. Around neap tides the pattern can blur into small double tides. The pattern follows the reference station at South Pass. Water here rises and falls only about 1.1 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 2.0 ft, comes on October 29, and the smallest, 0.3 ft, on Friday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 2.0 ft on October 29 and bottom out at −1.0 ft on January 20.
