About the tides at St. Lucie

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.1 ft. The pattern follows the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut. The mean range is small, about 0.8 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.6 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.8 ft on January 23.

St. Lucie is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Miami Beach, Government Cut: highs come about 41 min and lows about 106 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here in 1972 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is North Beach Causeway, 0.8 mi away, where high tide comes about 22 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Turning Basin.

Predictions are based on Miami Beach, Government Cut.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
