About the tides at Oslo

Oslo has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The mean range is small, about 0.7 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 10, with a range of 1.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Sunday, when the range shrinks to 0.7 ft.

Oslo is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Vero Beach, 3 mi away, where high tide comes about 11 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Inner Range, north of USCG station.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
