About the tides at Stag Island

Stag Island has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The range is large, about 1.84 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 13, with a range of 2.46 m. Neap tides follow tomorrow, when the range shrinks to 1.77 m.
