About the tides at Stuart

Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at St. Lucie River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Miami Beach, Government Cut. The mean range is small, about 0.9 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.1 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.3 ft on September 29, and the lowest is −0.7 ft on January 23.

Stuart is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Miami Beach, Government Cut: highs come about 133 min and lows about 210 min later than there. NOAA measured the tide here from 1969 to 1970 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is South Fork, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 22 min later.

Predictions are based on Miami Beach, Government Cut.
