About the tides at Tadoussac
Tadoussac has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. Tadoussac sees a mean range of about 3.23 m. Low tide can expose a wide area, and the return is fast. That is larger than most Quebec stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 4.66 m, comes on October 11, and the smallest, 2.42 m, on Tuesday.
Predictions for Tadoussac come from this station's own tide records. There is no live sensor, so the table shows forecast only. It was established in 1967. The nearest other station is Baie-Sainte-Catherine, 1.8 km away. Heights are measured from chart datum, which in most Canadian tidal waters is set near the lowest normal tide. That is why lows here rarely go below zero.
