About the tides at White Point
Tides at White Point are mostly diurnal: one rise and one fall a day, with a slow change between them. The mean range is small, about 0.6 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Texas stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 13, with a range of 0.6 ft. Neap tides follow on October 9, when the range shrinks to 0.3 ft.
This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 2004 to 2010 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Nueces Bay, 2 mi away, where high tide comes about 12 min later.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
