About the tides at Tuxekan

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. The range is large, about 8.5 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 12.9 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 6.6 ft.

Tuxekan is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Sitka: highs come about 17 min and lows about 7 min earlier than there.
