About the tides at Ucluelet

Ucluelet has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The range is large, about 1.88 m on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on October 27, with a range of 3.56 m. Neap tides follow on November 1, when the range shrinks to 1.27 m.

Ucluelet is a CHS station with a live water level gauge. Predictions come from the station's own tidal analysis. It was established in 2019. The nearest other station is Stopper Islands, 16 km away. Canadian tide heights use chart datum, a level set low on purpose. Negative heights are uncommon.

Tide predictions and water levels from the Canadian Hydrographic Service. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
