About the tides at White Mountain

Most days here have a single high and a single low. Around neap tides the pattern can blur into small double tides. Water here rises and falls only about 0.9 ft on an average day. A strong onshore wind can push levels above the prediction. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 1.0 ft, comes on October 31, and the smallest, 0.3 ft, on Saturday. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 1.6 ft on August 1 and bottom out at −0.5 ft on October 31.
