About the tides at Ala Spit

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The pattern follows the reference station at SEATTLE (Madison St.), Elliott Bay. With a mean range of about 6.8 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 11.5 ft, comes tomorrow, and the smallest, 7.2 ft, on October 10.
