About the tides at Apalachicola River (A&N RR bridge)
Expect two roughly equal high tides a day at Apalachicola River, each arriving about 50 minutes later than the day before. The pattern follows the reference station at Apalachicola, Apalachicola River. The mean range is small, about 1.0 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. That is smaller than most Florida stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 1.4 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 29, with a range of 2.0 ft. Neap tides follow on Thursday, when the range shrinks to 0.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 1.9 ft on October 1, and the lowest is −0.9 ft on January 21.
Apalachicola River (A&N RR bridge) is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Apalachicola, Apalachicola River: highs come about 28 min and lows about 35 min later than there.
