About the tides at Atka

Tides here follow a regular twice-daily rhythm. The two daily highs usually differ by only 0.3 ft. The average range is about 2.7 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 3.4 ft. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 5.0 ft. Neap tides follow on October 10, when the range shrinks to 0.5 ft.
