About the tides at Caillou Boca
Most days here have a single high and a single low. Around neap tides the pattern can blur into small double tides. The pattern follows the reference station at East Point, Grand Isle. The mean range is small, about 1.4 ft, so wind and pressure can matter as much as the tide itself. The next spring tides peak on Friday, with a range of 2.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 8, when the range shrinks to 0.4 ft.
Caillou Boca is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting East Point, Grand Isle: highs come about 40 min and lows about 48 min later than there. The nearest other station is Raccoon Point, 9 mi away, where high tide comes about 43 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Caillou Boca, Caillou Bay.
Predictions are based on East Point, Grand Isle.
