About the tides at Carter Bay

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. With a mean range of about 7.7 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 10.7 ft. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 12.1 ft, comes on November 1, and the smallest, 3.4 ft, on October 28. Looking a year ahead, predictions peak at 12.8 ft on December 22 and bottom out at −2.3 ft on January 1.
