About the tides at Platinum

Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 4.3 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The range is large, about 6.1 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 9.4 ft. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 10.4 ft. Neap tides follow on October 13, when the range shrinks to 4.0 ft.
