About the tides at Quinhagak (Kwinak)

This is a mixed-tide station. Some days bring a deep low and a shallow low, and a few days have only one of each. The range is large, about 9.0 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 11.9 ft. The next spring tides peak on Saturday, with a range of 12.7 ft. Neap tides follow on October 11, when the range shrinks to 7.1 ft.

This is a prediction station. NOAA calculates its tides from past measurements at this spot, but there is no live gauge today. NOAA measured the tide here from 2010 to 2011 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Carter Bay, 26 mi away, where high tide comes about 53 min earlier.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
