About the tides at Chiachi Island (east side)

Chiachi Island (east side) has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Kodiak Island, Womens Bay. The range is large, about 5.3 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is smaller than most Alaska stations on this site. The next spring tides peak today, with a range of 9.7 ft. Neap tides follow on October 19, when the range shrinks to 3.4 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 10.1 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.2 ft on July 5.
