About the tides at Clarksburg
Clarksburg has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Port Chicago, Suisun Bay. On a typical day the water moves about 2.2 ft between high and low. That is smaller than most California stations on this site. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 3.2 ft, comes today, and the smallest, 2.2 ft, on Sunday.
Tides here are worked out from the reference station at Port Chicago, Suisun Bay, with NOAA time and height corrections. Times are good for planning, but local wind can shift them. NOAA measured the tide here from 1977 to 1980 to set up these predictions. The nearest other station is Snodgrass Slough, 10 mi away, where high tide comes about 1 h 2 m later.
Predictions are based on Port Chicago, Suisun Bay.
