About the tides at Corkscrew Slough
Corkscrew Slough has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at San Francisco, San Francisco Bay. The range is large, about 6.0 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most California stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 28, with a range of 9.9 ft. Neap tides follow today, when the range shrinks to 3.6 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 9.4 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −1.7 ft on December 24.
Corkscrew Slough is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting San Francisco, San Francisco Bay: highs come about 63 min and lows about 102 min later than there. The nearest other station is Redwood City, 0.1 mi away, where high tide comes about 16 min earlier. For tidal currents, see Redwood Creek.
Predictions are based on San Francisco, San Francisco Bay.
