About the tides at West Point Slough
Tides here are mixed. On average the two daily highs differ by 1.4 ft, so check which low is the lower one before you head out. The pattern follows the reference station at San Francisco, San Francisco Bay. The range is large, about 6.2 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. That is larger than most California stations on this site. The next spring tides peak on October 26, with a range of 10.2 ft. Neap tides follow on Friday, when the range shrinks to 3.7 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 10.4 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −1.9 ft on December 24.
