About the tides at Cornwells Heights
Cornwells Heights has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. With a mean range of about 6.7 ft, the shoreline here changes a lot between high and low water. Over the next two weeks the biggest daily range, 7.8 ft, comes on October 10, and the smallest, 6.7 ft, on Sunday.
Cornwells Heights is a subordinate station, so NOAA publishes only its high and low times and heights. The nearest other station is Burlington, 4 mi away, where high tide comes about 8 min later. For tidal currents, see Edgewater Range at Devlin Range.
Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
