About the tides at Davis River entrance

Davis River entrance has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The pattern follows the reference station at Ketchikan, Tongass Narrows. The tide range here is very large, about 13.9 ft on average. Water can come in faster than you can walk across flats. Check the time before you go out. That is larger than most Alaska stations on this site. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 20.6 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −4.2 ft on July 5.
