About the tides at Edna Bay

Edna Bay has a mixed tide. The two daily highs, and especially the two lows, can differ a lot in height. The pattern follows the reference station at Sitka. The range is large, about 8.4 ft on average. Flats and bars appear and vanish quickly, so keep an eye on the time. The next spring tides peak on Sunday, with a range of 12.8 ft. Neap tides follow on October 17, when the range shrinks to 3.8 ft. In the next 12 months the highest predicted tide here is 13.5 ft on December 24, and the lowest is −3.2 ft on July 5.

Edna Bay is a subordinate station. NOAA predicts its tides by adjusting Sitka: highs come about 20 min and lows about 8 min earlier than there. The nearest other station is Pole Anchorage, 6 mi away. For tidal currents, see Davidson Inlet.

Predictions are based on Sitka.

Tide predictions and water levels from NOAA CO-OPS. For planning only, not for navigation. Real water levels can differ because of wind, air pressure and river flow. Always check conditions on site.
