Fall River has a semidiurnal tide: two highs and two lows of similar height each day, about 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. The average range is about 4.4 ft. Spring tides add a little more at both ends. That is smaller than most Massachusetts stations on this site. From the average lower low to the average higher high, the difference is 4.8 ft. The next spring tides peak on October 11, with a range of 5.5 ft. Neap tides follow on Monday, when the range shrinks to 3.9 ft.
